I just recently found a local B&M that carries a full selection of viaje cigars I've only ever had 1 or 2 in the past so I don't have a very good idea of their range in general. My question is what if any viaje should I be on the look out for? I'll add that I have no specific "go to" profile that I look for in a smoke I like a wide range. Thanks for any suggestions in advance.

I enjoy the 50/50 line, the Oro, and Platinos generally the best. The Criollo wrapped are my personal likes but most are very good in general. The ones I don't like due to them being fuller then I enjoy are the C4, TnT, and Skull or ? Blends but those are very popular with full body smokers. My two cents.

Any input on the friends and family blend or the holiday 2012 the owner was pushing those two the most.

I've really liked the Holiday blend. Can't recall if I've smoked the 2012 before, but I haven't met a holiday blend I didn't like.

If they have any, be on the lookout for the skull and bones mystery release. First Release was better than the second. Really unique flavors now that there's some time on them. One of the few NC's that the retro hale doesn't try to kill me with pepper.

The Holiday Blend is the best of the bunch IMHO (in my top three sticks, ever). Also, anything in the Exclusivo line is mighty tasty. :-)

Must be a warehouse. I thought I knew a lot about Viaje --- recently someone was selling a Viaje sampler with about 20 different cigars -- I recognized one of them.

I thought the 2012 Holiday Blend was awful. '10's are pretty good. '11's were so-so. '12's taste bad and burn worse.

Good Viajes tend to sell. The word gets out. The others get 'pushed' by tobacconists.

Some of my favorites:
Candy Cane
Honey and Hand Grenades
Skull and Bones WMD esp '11 and '12
White Label Project Stuffed Turkey Dark Meat (one of very few SA wrapped cigars I like)
5th Anniversary
Summerfests
Super Lance
TNT

Those are ones I'd almost certainly buy if I came across them in a store. There's lots that I haven't tried that I'd be willing to try one or two of. Few are awful...but there's an awful lot that aren't worth their premium price tags.

All I've had are the Skull and Bones line. Good solid smokes.
