Ortega Project #4 Lancero 7x38
Image
Wrapper/filler/blend unknown. Wrapper appears to be Ecuadorian habano?
Construction is nice minus a slight soft spot about a half inch from the band. Wrapper is a nice milk chocolate brown with medium veins. Spicy on the nose prelight.

Initial draw is a bit firm, but not bad, pretty typical for a lancero. After a very woody initial blast it settled down into a very interesting caramely sweetness. Lots of nice smoke and medium in body and strength so far.

The cigar is producing lots of nice flavors, kind of like stick #1 but without the pepper spice. The burn line is thick and wavy, but the ash holds well.

The cigar kept pretty much the same to the end. Very nice cigar, you more sip it than smoke it. Stayed medium all the way through. Liked it but so far my preferences go in order of blend number, though this and #3 are pretty much a toss up, and mostly because I prefer a stronger cigar. Thanks again Eddie, this has been a lot of fun, one blend to go.
