Following the well-documented complications of her recent throat surgery, Joan Rivers succumbed today from the cardiac arrest she suffered.
Rest in peace, funny lady.

She did a lot for ladies in comedy, as did Phyllis Diller, now both gone.

I'm a commercial/industrial electrician in the Great Philadelphia area. I once did a job at the QVC studios back in 08, I was 22 at the time. I was on a ladder in a hallway and none other that Joan Rivers escorted by two men walked past me I had this star struck look on my face as she walked by, she looked at me smiled and said "hey Doll!" Cool as **** and kept walking. I'll never forget that moment! Rest in peace Mrs Rivers!

I was just discussing with someone a couple months ago how funny it would be to have Joan Rivers and Don Rickles team up.
Gonna miss you, Joan.

She always said what others thought but wouldn't say out loud. Really one of a kind, she will finally be back with her loving husband, Edgar, the butt of many of her jokes for so many years, two people that were truly in love. Rest In Peace.
She definitely had her routine down pat starting with the line.. ""can we talk.."
I hate housework," went one of her jokes. "You make the beds, you do the dishes and six months later you have to start all over again."
"I blame my mother for my poor sex life," went another. "All she told me was 'the man goes on top and the woman underneath.' For three years my husband and I slept in bunk beds."
:-)

Elys and I went to see her perform live last November. She was awesome. Always been a fan of her and actually I think her jokes just got better with age. One of my favorite comedians, bar none. Fashion Police was a great show we'd look forward to watching.
