Prelight: Sweet cedar, leather, burnt fresh wood
1st 1/3
Campfire with dry woods, leather, dry cedar, slight cocoa sweetness and a hint of spice
More of a medium strength here in the 1st 1/3 with lots of smoke and a perfect draw
2nd 1/3
The smoothness of this cigar is now sneaking up on me with a boldness that is not over powering, showing complexity with a slight N buzz but not at all overwhelming
The additions of dark chocolate and nuts comes on the 2nd 1/3 beautifully
The roasted nuts and the sweetness on the finish makes this cigar a wonderful experience.
Even with all the complexity, it's definitely becoming full-bodied but very tolerable.
Last 1/3
In the final 1/3 the 4/2g is giving off hints of dark spices, dark chocolate and seasoned wood all with a creamy texture.
I would say that the cigar was medium all the way through the first four inches and then it got full in body but very smooth.
The cigar is still burning nicely with a gray ash that flowers a bit
(what dose it mean when the ash flowers I don't know)
At a retail price of around $11.49 you still can find them for as little as $6 if you look hard enough and you won't be disappointed by the amount of cigar you get for your dollar
It's a good sized cigar that you'll need around two hours to fully get through, and if you're not focused on the flavor changes you might just miss what the Illusione '4/2g' Churchill has to offer
Smoke time 2 hr
Score 10 out of 10
