I neglect my NC cigars sometimes and really just forget what i even have half the time like a typical Cubanophile is prone to do. Got a nice new humidor (looks nicer than my cooledor but not as spacious) for christmas so as i was digging out some cigars and transferring them when i pulled a box of these out that i purchased in 06' so as a change of pace smoke i decided to smoke one.
No big review (although i should have done one but it's too late now) just really smooth with deep earthy flavors, lots of chocolate, espresso, woodiness - almost pine, cedar, A little pepper on the tongue, Ash is snow white, burn is PERFECT, Draw is just right. Appearance is darker milk chocolate, Construction - other than a couple small veins is perfect. Flavors really remind me of a Nicaraguan puro but obviously this is not at all. There's a spicy note that I always get with any Mexican tobacco and normally that's not my thing but this has mellowed it with age quite a bit and dare I say is pleasant? It's amazing what a little age can do to a cigar. The last time i smoked a C10 corona i don't recall it being this rich, smooth, with lots to textural smoke. I've always enjoyed these either way and really have neglected them too much. I'll have to grab a C10 Robusto from the box that i purchased at the same time in 06'.
