The Protagonist sat listlessly in his worn leather chair thumbing through a script of a movie penned by Gary Burghoff. The movie's theme centered around a man in his twilight years who yearned to become a club DJ. The Protagonist sipped on his raspberry Kool-Aid and read about the deep and shallow character he was to play. Michael Bay would direct the film. The Protagonist was excited about the explosions and lack of plot in the film. He put down the script and picked up his favorite cricket bat. He found his pocket knife and carved the word "lackluster" into the bat in bold letters and a Comic Sans font.
The doorbell rang. The Protagonist walked slowly to the door and as he opened it, he saw The Deuteragonist standing on his front porch with a lemon in his hand. The Deuteragonist handed him the lemon and uttered a single word: "Scurvy".
