I started working on my kitchen last 2 weeks ago.

I'm doing the Rustoleum Cabinet transformation. Its a lot more labor intensive than I thought it would be, but the results are pretty awesome.

The handles are just painted using rustoleum metallic satin finish spray paint.

Very nice job man. That's gotta be worth a few points, or does that get you more things to work on :-)

I thought this was a Gordon Ramsey thread, sorry. I thought it was mis-filed out of Entertainment. Nice work, Earl.

It's kind of time consuming because you have to wait for the different coats to dry. once you deglaze everything, you have to wait for it to dry then one coat of color, dry time, one more coat of color, dry time, decorative glaze, 8 hour dry time, then clear coat, dry time, then mount them again.

Most of the time it was just me working on it, so I could only do a couple of doors a day, but when I had help it went pretty quick(minus the dry time between coats) Just the bottom of the kitchen took me about 6 days. The top shouldn't take me as long because there is only 10 doors and the frame.

Totally worth the effort, the pictures don't do it justice. If you're thinking about doing it, try it out on a bathroom first and see how you like it. I got one door from our bathroom done and knew that I wanted my whole kitchen to look like that. Now I just have to do both of our bathrooms like that because my wife likes it so much.

Very nice. I like it. Been trying to figure out a way to freshen up the kitchen without breaking the bank. This looks like a nice option to discuss with my wife.

Looks good, Earl! Sounds like a lot more work than replacing everything, but the cost savings is substantial. I replaced my kitchen cabinets last year, which turned into a remodel of that whole level of the house. Just finishing the man cave/basement now. And the girlfriend JUST asked me "is the bathroom next?" :-) So I'm repainting that and building her a vanity table. And replaced the shower head with a Kohler Moxie. Hopefully she's satisfied for a while.

AdamJoshua has it right, the honey do list is gonna get bigger now!
