God Bless our country... That is why we are so great... right there in a nutshell...
Those stands are packed... doesn't look like a single person gave any second thought to going out in public tonight... God bless them all...

It's really too bad they don't do that for every event, I don't need to hear some 15yr old girl sing it or some "star", I'd rather have the crowd do it and be a part of it, other countries do it .. just not us.

I was watching the Pens-Habs game, but changed channels just in time to see this. Spontaneous, heartfelt, amazing. It actually moved me to tears.

If that doesn't stand the hair on one's body, nothing will.
I saw a cartoon on TV that was from a NY paper that I am trying to find on line.
I know NY fans and Boston fans have an incredible rivalry but as a NY fan, I was so moved by it.
It showed a dad and a kid, both with t-shirts with the Boston Red Sox B, with the dad with a Yankees cap.
The caption read something like the kid asking why they had Boston shirts if they were Yankees fans and the dad replied, today we are all rooting for Boston.

Sometimes it takes tragedies to bring out the best in us. Damn I love this country.

It was amazingly moving to watch on tv I can only imagine what it was like to be there. Paul Hamilton a Buffalo sports reported wrote in an article last night " The fans then sang the loudest rendition of the national anthem I ever heard" He went on to say that between witnessing the video tribute, the national anthem, and the energy and emotion of the fans at TD Garden it turned into a road trip that will stay with him forever.

Just saw the video. Gave me chills. With all the crap that is going on in this country the PEOPLE are still the strongest in the world.

I couldn't agree more.
Patriotism is not something one has or shows in a time of tragedy but demonstrates every day. Sports fans in every country but the US sing proudly at every event. I do. I just wish others would, too.
