Well I stopped into Goodfella's (My local B&M) and had the pleasure of meeting Marco the owner of Marco V Cigars who had just randomly stopped by. Not sure how many of you have heard of these cigars but Marco was a business student at the University of St. Thomas here in St. Paul and his father is a big cigar smoker and they went to the Dominican a few years ago to a cigar plantation. After that trip they bought an abandoned plantation there and renovated and are now rolling their cigars on this plantation. They are quite good and are starting to break out into the cigar world. They have also teamed up with a local wine vineyard and are matching wines with their cigars. Being a cigar company created locally here is pretty cool and Marco is a really down to earth guy. Bought my cigar and smoked with us. Here is his web site. Check it out.

Cool. I will have to give these a try. My oldest is a freshman Tommy, would have to support an alum that is making good stogies!

Hope Marco does well, I like that on his site he breaks down each kind of stick what wrapper, what fillers are used, etc,.

I really enjoy them. Not an expensive cigar and not horribly complex but very solid cigars.

I've had a couple of these and thought they were really good for their price point. Glad you got to meet the man behind them!
