They would be too backed up if they didnt deliver packages for 2 days in a row every week.
After Sunday and MLK day, it was backed up for 2 days.
However, if they would just raise stamp prices a dime all at once they
could cover the problems.

This is what my mail carrier told me today. She also mentioned that at a meeting this morning at the post office, the local post master indicated that Congress has the ability to regulate postal rates but not postal hours. She and I were both confused as to the why then the hours war for the past 5+ years.

Someone suggested the idea of only delivering maybe 3 times a week. In the more rural areas [like my location], this would be pretty nice. I never used to check my mailbox until I started smoking cigars. Now it seems every day I'm going to the mailbox to see if any orders came in. I wouldn't mind only having to go Monday, Wednesdays, and Fridays -- and my town has a small enough population so as to make it feasible.
