Never even heard of it -- hope I didn't miss the cigar of a lifetime. Enjoy those who have some left, savor them :-)

Very cool, but Curse those short runs

yes sir...they were awesome. I loved the robusto. If only there were a lancero, although I bet the blend necessitated a larger ring gauge.

There was but it was limited to a lancero sampler . Doesn't look like they have one in the works for the re-release.

Was the Special S any close? I understand they stopped the Centurion due to some copyright infringement.

I was listening to Kiss My Ash Radio when they announced it. Sounds good to me.

They were great cigars...I enjoyed them when I had the opportunity to smoke a few! I actually just sold the lancero collection that DPG made
http://www.cigarasylum.com/vb/showthread.php?t=59989 I would say though the only problem I was running into with the lancero collection, because this wasnt the only one I had, was that sometimes the cigars were plugged! I was able to grab a bunch of these of a BOTL on here and litterally all of them were plugged to the point it wasnt worth smoking!
Great smokes though IMO
:-)

Will have to try one of the new ones when they are released. As I can't say that I've ever had one. Weird thing is that I am big Pepin fan...not sure how I missed these.

The lanceros were far better than the robusto. I doubt I would like either much anymore however since making the CC switch.

Yup, I remember I bought and smoked a JJ Maddie Lance at a B&M and it was the worst plugged cigar I have ever run into.

In my mind, re-makes never live up to the Originals.
It's not the same tobacco. Prime example Tat Elo 1&3 (remakes)
They were blended stronger mind you, but just not the same
cigar. (too strong if you ask me.)

This one that keeps slipping through the cracks. I don't think I've heard a bad thing about it..
