Anyone smoked either the Sun Grown or Maduro Signature Collection cigars? If so what did you think?

If you're talking about the Carlos Torano Signature Collection Maduro Doug...I enjoy those. :-) :-)

That is certainly one of the rare NCs I really find fascinating...certainly a unique taste when it came out.
Not sure where it evolved to, but I liked it ten years ago. Must be some kind of Brazilian Mata Fina in there somewhere,
it sure tastes like it has it.

I think he means the CI cigar, 'Signature Collection'.

You are correct sir!

Sorry for not clarifying further. The Sun Grown is AJ Fernandez made and the Maduro is Plasencia made.

I like the Sungrown variety from CI and cigar.com. Scored a box of the sun-grown robustos from Cigarbid.
Made by AJ Fernandez. The robusto is comparable to a Diesel Unltd. d.5. A little less spice. Good value smoke.

The maduro's are good Doug! Very rich pronounced flavors of
espresso, dark chocolate, cream, white pepper, and cedar.

Just bid on a 30 ct box of the sungrown corona version. If I pick these up, at the price I put in on my bid, they will be WELL worth it.

Since most of us do not smoke the box, want to alert the brethren that this brand's box is the worst-made cigar box in world history. Popsicle sticks glued to thin plywood rectangles. The plywood is almost translucent.
Nabbed a box of Signature Collection sungrown robustos by AJ Fernandez on cBid. The box arrived shattered, with the cigars lurking among the wreckage. Four cigars were not smokeable -- the cBid c/s team credited my account for the damaged cigars. The c/s crew did not seem aware that the box was such a sham.
The cigars are a good value smoke, comparable to a cut-rate Diesel Unlimited.

I haven't tried the CI ones but the ones by Carlos Torano are excellent! But buy them now because they are no longer making them.
