Sorry for no pics again; I was at Manny's and we were drinking...you know how that goes.
This was a gift from my friend Seth in NJ; I had never tried a NC Monte #2 and he had never tried its Cuban counterpart, so we swapped some sticks.
Not much to report here; the Connecticut shade wrapper and mild binder/filler combined for a creamy, no-pressure smoke. Enjoyable, mellow, with that typical Connecticut bitter undertone, but way in the background where it was a nice counterpoint.
Wish I could've finished it but about halfway in a flying roach the size of a learjet interrupted the proceedings and dampened my spirits.
Goddamn Florida.

Wholly agreed on this review. I smoked one Saturday on the boat. Flavor was mostly coffee with some leather notes and bitter undertones. Not remarkable per se but acceptable, wouldn't be a loss if it fell in the water! First 2/3 were the same throughout, last 1/3 had an uneven burn and stalled a couple times. It also became very bitter.
Not recommended, the NC Monte Whites are a better smoke for the money.
