Just found out he passed earlier this morning at he age of 76. He was recovering from a stroke. He made quite an impressive mark in the N. Alabama by sponsering the George Lindsey Film Festival at the University of North Alabama. He will be missed.

Saddening to hear. He was a great supporter of the state and the industry. He will be missed.

We seen George at Legends steak house in Florence, Alabama in 2010. He didn't look well then but seemed happy. He gave alot to this community.

Another story I read about this stated that Mr. Lindsay was 83 at the time of his death. That seems to happen a lot with celebrities, either they or their publicity people fib about when they were born.
