Well, I'm an idiot. If I would have looked a few threads down I guess I would have answered my own question:-)

I'll repost in the correct thread. Go ahead and delete mine

Nice Dan Wesson, I shoot one VERY similar. Might even be the same model. Different trigger though.

It's a VBOB, I just got it for CCW. It's my first 1911

Excellent choice, yep same model. Maybe a different year or something. My favorite 1911 I've shot/held. I'll be carrying it as well.

So funny that after you hold a VBOB you can't deal with any standard non VBOB 1911. Looks like a minor change but really conforms to your hand.

The 1911 just never appealed to me because of the single stacks. I have shot a number of them and even almost pulled the trigger in the double stack Para Ordinance 1911 but decided on the Sig Tac Ops instead. I am extremely pleased with the Sig and will probably never go back.

Firearms nut here but I don't usually post mine on the internet. :-)

I have a P229, but nothing carries like a 1911:-)

Besides, If I can't get it done with 8 .45acp's, 12 .40's ain't gonna help:-)

This is what I always thought. If I miss 8 shots I deserve whatever comes to me. Also probably don't deserve to have my carry permit, because my test shots were all PLENTY good to hit 8/8.

I agree with you there, I highly doubt I would ever need my 20+1 stack BUT I would rather have it when I need it when the S hits the fan. :-)

The company I worked for made it mandatory for SO's to carry weapons that stacked at least 12 rounds because of the possible threats to our clients. I agree if you can't handle a threat with a quick double tap you probably shouldn't take the shot unless the situation absolutely warrants it.

Guns scare me.

People scare me... especially at the training range when they are trying to pull off moves seen on the movies... Yikes!

I think there is a thread like this one already.
I should use the search function.
