Just curious....has anyone ever smoked any of the blends created by TESA Cigar Co. in Chicago? I had a friend pass through and say she enjoyed one of the milder offerings they had. Anyone else familiar with this company and it's blends?

Actually I don't smoke too many Nicaraguan cigars, Jason, so the only way I would likely stop in is if I happened to be in the area for another reason. Maybe one of the guys in the City will give us a review though. :-)

I will send you every one I own, Jason....let me check the humi, BRB.

Ok, I checked...the total is "none". :-) :-)

I think Pepin makes some good cigars, I just prefer cigars from another country 98% of the time. :-)

I actually met the owners of TESA cigars at IPCPR in vegas. It is a father and son team, the son, right around mid twenties is responsible for the blending and his dad runs the cigar store in Chicago. I have smoked a few and overall felt they were decent smokes.

La Hara -- good smoke
Factory Direct -- Maddies are GREAT, other 2 wrappers not so much
Bautismo de Fuego -- don't care for them

They make another one that starts with a "M" that is a good smoke as well, can't remember the exact name. I think it is "M3".

That's all I've tried from them. My B&M has been carrying a few of their brands for a while.

Thanks for the feedback, Damon! Why don't ya head over to the New Inmate Processing Area to get properly introduced and welcomed by everyone? Oh, and....WELCOME to CA!! :-)

AVOID THEIR HIGH END LINE...THE CRYSTAL or some non-sense...IT IS AWFUL...It smokes like a combo of burning cat litter and notebook paper...the recycled kind... The other lines I have absolutely no complaints with. One of the B&Ms I worked in sold a TON of the Factory Directs....great bargain smoke!

TESA makes very good high quality cigars! The family is also well known in the cigar business and highly respected!

I was eyeballing the Cabinet 312 But Jeez its alot of $$/cigar for something most people haven't heard of. If I was running a cigar manufacturer, and I released a new brand, I'd start by selling them somewhere around half of what I wanted for them originally, and I would get them in the hands of every reviewer out there to get reviews out on it.
