The marketing:

Famous: This voluptuous 52-ring Toro proves why the bigger the cushion, the better the pushin'. Or in this case, the puffin'. Made with a well-balanced, three-nation blend capped in silky, sweet-smelling U.S. Connecticut shade wrappers, the smoke is smooth and mellow with an appealing toastiness. Ooh baby!

Prelight: An attractive cigar with a beautiful golden CTS claro wrapper. Only small veins, and a nicely applied double cap. Firm to the touch and well-filled. Clipped easily, smooth, mild cold draw.

Burn: OK. Straight at the beginning, there was some wobble and a sporadic touchup necessary as the smoke progressed, but nothing to distract. The ash was medium-gray with darker stripes, long and firm at first, flakier in the second half. In the last third it tended to go out a bit quickly, leaving that dirty ashy taste that demands purging. About 90 mins smoke time.

(Note: the one in the picture shows a bit of cracking near the foot, but it corrected itself. That was an isolated occurrence and not a problem with others from this box.)

Flavor: This is a mild morning smoke. It greets you with a a mild, toasty flavor, light and a bit airy. There's virtually no pepper or spice, and it's easy to roll through the nose. The flavor firms up a bit in the second third to a consistenty toasty sweetness. The body of the smoke builds to a creamy medium, particularly by the last third, but the finish is fairly clean and crisp. The sweet notes in the background, with an occasional hint of butterscotch and toasted nuts, keep it from being boring. You want to be sure to smoke it slowly; if it gets too hot there can be acrid note.

Better than yardgar, it's a decent, uncomplicated smoke, fine with a morning coffee when you're not looking for a cigar to contemplate.
