Took a little mini vacation with the wife and daughters this weekend out to Vernal, Utah to the Dinosaur National Monument, I am no Dino buff or Paleantologist but this was some pretty cool stuff.
There is a wall of bones that they have built a building around and have left the bones in the wall, the bones were deposited by an ancient river 159 million years ago and then the tectonic plates pushed that river bed to the earths surface some odd million years ago and viola.
Also saw some Petroglyphs that were done about 1,000 years ago by the Fremont People and checked out the Green River where it split a mountain in half, the last pic shows a wall where the river carved through, people raft the canyon the it made. Anyways fun little trip back in time to see and touch 159 million year old fossils
:-) and a great time with the family.
