Doesn't Ron have them at cigarsolutions?

This could solve my search for a new magic box. This would be nice to know if there is a source for them.

Dammit, I just saw them. It was a shop like Ron's where they just sell accessories and no cigars. Or maybe not. Anyways, there's a bump for ya.

Stolen term from another BOTL here. It's a nice wood box (like an old cab of CC's) where I put the last few sticks from every box of CC's I go through. The only time I open it is to add to it. I'll start picking through it in 5-10 years. I am sure I will forget what's in it, and it will be a magical moment when I open a box containing fivers of 5-10 year old CC's that have been aging nicely in cedar.

I very much like this idea.

That would be a box for monumental moments!

I have been looking for them for awhile also. Found some place in florida that is a manufacture of slide lid cigar boxes but it was more of a wholesale/custom built thing.
Figured I was the only one so never investigated for a group buy.

Try your local B&M. If they don't have any, ask if they will hold the next box that empties for you.
Worth a shot.

Local B&M normally always have empty cigar boxes!
My local shop has em for 2-5 bucks all depending on box.

I have probably several hundred slide lid boxes, but like the OP I am looking for some plain ones for a project.

Found a source for plain ones. They make the box's for tats and the like but there is a 100 box minimum order at 6.75 each.

I don't need one, I'd just make them myself, but group buy?
If I made them, I probably couldn't charge less than $10. I can't get the cedar cheap enough here in Chicago.

I have a use for about 30 or 40 of them. I want to make individual mixed boxes up, use a box seal that I made up in illustrator and give them as gifts. I was hoping the supplier could just do an overrun on some they were making for someone else, leave them unstamped and sell them to me but no such luck.

You should stamp them with "Magic Box"

We could always make up a little label seal for the boxes
"mystery box Do not open until _______"
