Very cool! Maybe we are looking at a future Olympian.

Very cool story. Much success to your daughter.

Won again today. The Little One scored their first goal(of 4) in a 4-1 win... Undefeated in the tourney going into tomorrow. There may be better feelings, but as of now, I have yet to experience one that out performs the one you get from pride in your kids.

She's obviously very talented for her age - does she enjoy watching the game as well? Did the US women's recent run to gold have her fired up?

She has been LOVING the USWNT run to the Gold.... It has been extra special, as her and I went to the USA vs Canada game just prior to the teams heading over to London.

Also, while watching the Gold Medal game yesterday prior to heading to her game, Carli Lloyd scored both the US goals.....being that they share the same #, the Little One was pretty excited about that and knew it would be her day....
:-)
GOAL(yesterday)!!!

Full disclosure, it's not always peaches and cream in athletics in my house.....
Didn't get to hold the cup high today. Both teams undefeated, Championship Game of the Tournament....the Little One had the opportunity to tie it up in OT with < 15 seconds left in the game. Sent a PK VERY WIDE right.... Lost 3-2. That is okay, learning experience.
A high, high and a low, low.... It is what makes going out and competing exciting... Well, at least IMO....
GOAL!!!

You can learn a great deal from losing, often more than from winning. My son had back-to-back years playing for a dominant, championship winning hockey team followed by a completely winless season the next year. He's always said he got more out playing for the winless team than the championship one.

Character building experiences, for sure.
