The second of the new Perdomo Exhibicion cigars that I'm reviewing. This cigar is very well made and densely packed.

Video review HERE.

It is a dark brown and looks like a huge stick of chocolate. The test draw was effortless. The initial flavors were a lot of pepper, sweet notes, and coffee.

About 3/4 inch in the contrast of the ash against the dark cigar was amazing. The flavors at this point were a ton of pepper, coffee, sweet grapefruit notes with almond kicker. The finish was long and thick with vanilla notes; almost like custard. The cigar makes a ton of smoke and burned very evenly. As soon as you take a draw you taste the coffee notes and pepper.

About 1 1/2 inches in the cigar has not changed. It is quite consistent at this point. After looking at what others said about this cigar one reviewer said it had lots of raisin notes. At this point I don't detect any raisin notes. I get a ton of pepper, coffee, and grapefruit citrus. The vanilla finish is quite good. It is interesting that with the initial flavors of coffee and grapefruit you get a finish of vanilla. The cigar is rather full bodied. There is not a lot of richness in the cigar. The coffee is king!

At the midpoint the cigar has not change much yet. The coffee notes seem to be more intense, if that's possible. I consider this to be a good after dinner cigar. Any cigar with this much coffee makes me think it would be great after a nice meal.

With about 2 inches left there is some richness developing in the spice. The coffee notes are still primary with the grapefruit notes secondary. There are a few touches of vanilla noted on the spice. The pepper lingers somewhat on the palate.

The cigar ended up with a ton of coffee and black pepper. The grapefruit notes are still subtle. The finish remained one of rich vanilla with some lingering pepper. I would have liked this cigar to have more richness but that's my personal preference. The cigar was very good and again, it would make a great after dinner cigar.

Score: 90
