Nice review, from everything I've read this should be right up my alley, but the few I've had have all been disappointing

Can't go wrong with them, especially for the price!

I always keep a few in my regular rotation!

How do they compare ROTT as opposed to a few months of age? I have no idea how much age was on the one I had last night before I got it, but I had it a little more than three months. I plan on picking up at least two boxes to rest in the coolidor.

I gave them a few tries and found them to explode with barnyard, landfill, and Chinese restaurant dumpster essence. They either need a lot of time, or buried in the back yard. I honestly thought I'd been poisoned or someone sh1t in the box.
This is one of those value cigars that I couldn't make any sense of at any price. :-)
That said, smoke what ya like, like what ya smoke. :-)

Great review. I was gifted one of these a while back. Maybe it is time to smoke it.

This is one of my favorites so far!
The one I smoked was constructed very solid.
It was a real tight draw, I had to cut it like three times to open it up enough.

ROTT, about three months later, and just so I didn't write them off without a fair go, about 8 months later. I still don't understand the attraction, but I don't need to.
I had the identical reaction to the plain old Diesel, so I'm guessing it's one of the tobaccos they're using in the blend. Or it's the diesel fuel. :-)
I'm just glad so many guys are enjoying them. :-)

I'd go so far to say that I agree with the OP somewhere around 100%. I got dirt, burned wood, and barnyard out of them. The burned wood was more like burned something else, but I couldn't put a finger on it. It was more sooty flavored than charred anything. Definately not flavors I look for in a cigar. The spice was there, but it was obscured by the other flavors so that it wasn't even remotely enjoyable to me. It wasn't at all a sweet spice, or one that stood on it's own. The flavors all sort of jumbled together into a nastiness rather than setting themselves apart, or blending and complimenting.
I had the identical reaction to the plain old Diesel, so I'm guessing it's one of the tobaccos they're using in the blend. Or it's the diesel fuel soot from the burners in the tobacco houses. :-)
I'm just glad so many guys are enjoying them. I really like to find a good value smoke to put away, but this one just didn't have anything going for it, at least not in my book. As always, that's just my opinion. It shouldn't dissuade anyone from trying a cigar, not even this one. I'm a firm believer in giving everything a shot, even if it's a 39 cent Flying Rooster or $2.00 Pirate's Ear. Someone is going to find a winner, even if they're the only guy that'll smoke them. :-)

A local B&M got these in recently but I haven't tried them yet. I have heard mixed reviews, but I guess that all I can do is smoke one for myself.
