Hey everyone... I'm real new to the cigar world and I seem to like real mild, flavored cigars. I really like Cao Bella Caramel cigars. Any suggestions?

Also, I know not to inhale, but my throat hurts alot when I smoke. Am I doing something wrong? :-)

Thanks guys! <3

Hello Jenna. I might suggest posting an introduction first in the New Inmate Section. You can most likely get your question answered there as well.

CAO has lots of different flavored smokes, as does Drew Estates, Jenna. Not sure why your throat is hurting if you don't inhale.

I would suggest the CAO Moontrance. Those were the first flavored cigars I ever smoked. Very good IMHO for newer smokers and those who enjoy infused blends.

Welcome!!! Post a quick intro in the new inmate section!!!

As for flavored/infused cigars dig around the site and you should be able to dig up some info and reviews also I'm sure there are some members who can give you some good recommendations.

I would suggest looking into the acid and CAO flavor lines.

Good luck and welcome again!!

I find that my throat gets irritated if I take deeper puffs off a cigar, or accidentally breath in through my mouth before all the smoke has left. Try breathing in before you puff, and exhale as let the smoke out of your mouth. This way, the smoke is pushed out by your breath. If this doesnt work, just try to make sure all the smoke has left your mouth before breathing in, and take "shallower" puffs.

As for cigars, everyone else pretty much hit it on the head. Try the other CAO Flavors as well as the flavored cigars Drew Estates has to offer.

Hey Jenna and welcome. All I can really suggest that I have heard and that comes to mind atm is the vegas 5 Gold. I've heard its a nice mild cigar. As for the throat hurting I believe this happend to me at first when I started smoking but then went away. :-)

When your throat hurts are you smoking indoors. My wife complains her throat hurts when I am smoking in the house and forget to open the window. Some people are more sensitive to smoke than others so taking a longer break in between draws on the cigar may help too. It may also be the flavors causing the pain. Maybe try some of the other flavored/infused smokes listed by the others and see if the pain persists. Welcome aboard.

Thanks everyone so much for your suggestions. I will definitely try those new cigars ya'll suggested :-)

As for my throat hurting, no I always smoke outside. And I've noticed that since I smoke Cao Bella's and they're smaller, they give alot more smoke than my husband's does with one drag. Maybe thats why? I have no idea :-) Let's just hope it goes away with experience :-):-)

Welcome Jenna.

I would suggest slowing down to one puff every 90-120 seconds as a minimum and drink water with your cigar. See how that goes.

That might be my problem, I usually drink something carbonated with it. Will definitely try that today! (thanks!)

Welcome. When I started smoking cigars I started with Ashton Classics this is a milder cigar. I have had that burn in my throat when I smoke a cigar that is not so mild.

I went and smoked with my husband and our friend today and I tried inhaling through my nose when I take a drag, it helped me not to want to inhale through my mouth. Im sore throat free! WOO. :-)
