This cellophane wrapped extra long 8½x40 lancero is a special edition, more expensive than the regular Casa Magna Colorado cigars. The mrps is $ 12,95. It is not for sale in The Netherlands yet. The foot of the cigar is uncut, the wrapper is folded over the end.

The beautiful, leather like wrapper is quite dark and oily. It is shiny too, it looks like a thin layer of laquer, that's how it shines. I see a few thin veins. I smell a straw and chocolate smell. The construction feels good. the predraw is fine too and tastes like dry tobacco.

I taste coffee with black pepper and after a quarter of an inch I taste wood instead of the coffee with some pepper and herbs. The pepper slowly becomes the main flavor. After two inch I taste herbs with a peppery aftertaste. After a third the herbs are getting stronger while the pepper loses some strength.

Halfway I taste a mild bitter flavor but fortunately it disappears quickly, maybe I smoked too fast. After two thirds the cigar gets spicier and the pepper turns black. With an inch and a half to go I reach the turning point of the cigar.

This cigar lasted me for two and a half hours. The draw is great, just like the burn. The white ash is quite coarse and not firm at all. The smoke is medium, both in thickness and in volume. This cigar is full flavored and full bodied.

Would I buy this cigar again? Depends on the price
