I did a few reviews on several Casa Magna oscuro cigars the last few days, so there's not much more to tell, I guess I wrote everything I know about the Placensia & Quesada made cigars in the previous reviews. Only thing I can tell you about this 6x52 toro is the price, which is € 4.50 here in The Netherlands.

The looks are great, the black wrapper and the silver band are a perfect match. The wrapper looks quite dry, not dry as in 'not moist' but dry in 'not oily' and has a few veins. I smell a barnyard. The construction feels quite hard. The predraw is fine and I taste spicy tobacco.

Coffee with an earthy flavor is the first thing I taste. I also get some wood and straw. After half an inch I taste leather with earth and straw. The cigar is quite spicy. After a third I taste dry leather with a mild metallic flavor.

Halfway I mainly taste straw with some leather, herbs and that strange but pleasant metallic flavor. The straw slowly morphs into hay. Near the end I taste more herbs, the cigar gets more spicy and I get quite a lot of black pepper.

This cigar lasted me an hour and fifty minutes. The draw is great and I got a lot of smoke. The ash is white. The burn is great. The ash is coarse but firm. This cigar is full flavored and full bodied.

Would I buy this cigar again? Again, I prefer the belicoso
