I smoked quite a few Casa Magna Colorado cigars from Nicaragua and love them, especially for the price but recently the Casa Magna Oscuro series got released here in The Netherlands. And again, the prices are very budget friendly, this 6½x52 torpedo has a € 4,50 price tag (compare that to a Montecristo #2, same size, price tag € 12,50), so you can guess that I'm very pleased with this release and can't wait to smoke all vitolas in the Casa Magna Oscuro series. Even though it's the same brand as the Colorado series, the Oscuro serie is made in Honduras instead of Nicaragua.

The construction feels good and I smell a strong barnyard smell. The silver band looks great on the dark wrapper which has a few long thin veins. The predraw is fine and I taste a little bit of pepper.

I taste a dry and mild sweet herbal flavor with wood and a splash of chocolate in the aftertaste. The flavors are full but smooth. After three quarters of an inch I taste some wood with some sweetness and some pepper in the aftertaste. The pepper isn't overpowering and the wood slowly grows in strength.

After a third I taste some dry wood with some sweetness. The wood slowly morphs into a cedar flavor. After two thirds the pepper disappears, the wood is mild sweet and I taste herbs on the background.

This cigar lasted me for an hour and twenty minutes. The draw is great and I got a lot of thick smoke. The ash is light colored and firm. The cigar is full flavored, full but smooth and medium to full bodied. The burn is flawless.

Would I buy this cigar again? Without a doubt
