5x50 robusto

Wrapper, binder, and filler are all Nicaraguan

Image

Construction: construction is good, solid and well packed, dense, but has a slight spongy character to it. the wrapper is nice, with some veining but nothing that stands out as problematic

Prelight: first draw after shaving off the cap has some pepper to it, also some grassy notes

First Third: first draws after torching have a nice woody flavor along with the expected peppery spice. there is also a hint of coffee and leather

Draw: is excellent

Burn: is slow and pretty even

Ash/Smoke: ash is solid salt and pepper, smoke is plentiful

Second Third: the flavors of oak, leather, and a hint of spice

Final third: ends with a kick of pepper and coffee

Strength: medium

Flavor: medium

Overall: I love these guys and smoke them regularly. I would recommend this stick to anyone interested in some of the regular production tats

Thanks for the review, you've encouraged me to give these yet another try--I just haven't gotten into the red label Tats even thought I want to!

Great review! Have you tried any of the new Maduro 5? Ild like to hear your thoughts on the Cohiba Magicos if so.

Nice review. I have found that red label definitely get better with some age. Year is great if you can wait.
