I sometimes shop for gift cards/in-store credits for discounted rates on ebay.
Can anyone tell me why in the world someone would pay over face value for a gift card when they can just buy it from the retailer for the face value? For example, $400 amazon gift cards for $450? Are you kidding me?
Also, why do people feel the need to pay $5.95 or whatever for a VISA gift card or something?

the overpay is usually someone using a stolen CC or PP account. They don't care what they spend as it isn't their money. Quite common.
