I don't normally trust write-ups in catalogs to be unbiased, so I normally don't trust write-ups in catalogs period. However, I just got the new CI catalog, and the one for the Ave Maria intrigues me. I absolutely love the band, the description of flavors, and its price point seems to be about average. Has anybody tried this stick before? Thoughts?

:-) It's an AJ Fernandez stick, and I've enjoyed his other smokes.

I've smoked 2 and enjoyed them both. It's not as strong as I like my smokes, but it is very tasty.

I was in Iraq for most of the 03-04 season so the year has been a treat. :-)

Frankly, I didn't care for them at all.

The vitola I had was rather large. It started off pretty good. After awhile it just turned to plain tobacco. Inoffensive, but just meh. The first half was very enjoyable, though. I'd like to try a smaller vitola. I think that would be the ticket.

Well how much play does a.fernandez actually have in this stick If I remember the story this stick has been around before he had his hand in it but I am unsure how much hand his in it it so with that being said I myself don't really look at this as his stick but something he's helping move kind of like Joya de Nicaragua was there long before drew estate helped market them.

I am a big fan of the Man O' Wars and really enjoyed this cigar. Although I did smoke a smaller stick (robusto sized crusader). I have one of the Holy Grails that I can't wait to try but I want to age it for a few months.
