recently wrote a review for the new NC h.upmann sun grown ( on another site) and loved it. I also love the vintage cameroon. THe creamy smoke and the nutty/woody/floral taste excite my taste buds into a frenzy of euphoria (Damn my mouth is watering now). Any way it made me think is h.upmann getting any credit for there non cuban lines. Sure its not a complex cigar with all kinds of transitions but the flavors it does have dance wonderfully on my pallet. So the question is does any body enjoy these smokes as much as i do?

When I first started this hobby the Vintage Cam and Monte White were my go to cigars.

Vintage cameroon was one of the first smokes recommended to me. Not a bad smoke, just one I tend to overlook now.

Just to clarify, H. Upmann does not have a Cuban line and a non-Cuban line. They are two very different companies that share a name only and nothing else.

They are a majority stakeholder in Habanos S.A. though...

I have yet to try a NC Upmann that I like. The cameroon is the only one that comes close. The regular line - (is it the 1844?) tastes very bland and cheap IMO.

Every one has a different pallet and I understand and respect your opinion, but i was just wondering if you have tried the sun grown. There honduran and they taste differnt than the others. If you havent then I would defenatly recomend it unless you dont like medium bodied cigars. ANd yes the regular 1844 is for sure not for everybody. I van see where you taste blandness in it.
