Saturday is my eldest son's birthday (14th). So, this year we are going up to the Upper Penninsula of Michigan for the opening of deer season. Hopefully he'll have a special birthday this year by bagging a buck. He has yet to shoot any kind of deer. He has wounded one (pierced the ear), which a friend shot as it ran toward him. So, he now has the nickname "ear slayer," at least until he harvests one by himself.

Will have to bring a special cigar along (for myself, he isn't quite old enough for that) if gets one. And a couple extras just to have up at deer camp.

There isn't any internet up there - at least I don't believe so.

That means I will be out of touch beginning on Friday through Wednesday.
