Hi Everyone,

This may have been covered elsewhere but I can't seem to fiind it...

It's been really cold and windy here for the past few days, hard to keep the house warm without cool spots. I opened the humi this morning and my hygro read 60% RH. 75 cigar humi, 4oz of Shilala's beads (twice the amount needed). My question is, if I can rasie the temperature in the humi up to 65-70 degrees will the Rh rise also?

Thanks everyone,
Paul

The beads are meant to hold RH even if the temperature changes. To hold the RH constant, the beads will need to release some moisture as the temperature goes up.

What was the room temp.? If your room temp. is less than 60 degrees it is difficult to keep moisture levels up.Raising the temp. will help this.
Get the room temp stabilized and add moisture GRADUALLY to reach your target level, try to add 1 percent every couple of days to prevent problems.

Room temperature was around upper 50's lower 60's (heat duct was closed). It's open now, hopefully all will stabilize in a while.
