Thoughts, how are these? Live up to the hype, worth the price tag?

I like them... had the chance to smoke an LE from 05 a while back and it was great. Davidoff Entreacto make a great, easy smoke with nice flavours.

They're delicious, but way too spendy imo

They are very good. A nice treat on occasion.

I keep meaning to try one, but everytime I'm at the B&M I think to myself, "for that price, I could get an Opus."

All I have had was the Millennium and it was average at best. Not my thing but there are many who love them.

They are good. But for me I would rather smoke something else because of the price.

I love the Davidoff Aniversario No. 2 tubo and Davidoff Maduro R...but again, these are sometime treats...due to the cost pricetag. :-)

Alright thanks guys I'll look into acquiring a sampler box. CI has a nice 12 sampler for $176, I'll add that to my list of boxes that need purchasing.

That is unless anyone else knows of better pricing.

I was fortunate enough to snag some for $2 a pop. Non-smokers brother passed away and the siblings were left trying to sell stuff he had. Lucked out I guess.

BACK ON TOPIC:

Not necessarily sure on the exact name or blend but they are lancero sizes. I haven't tried the two I snagged but for the price, how bad could they possibly be? They've been resting with me for just about 18 months so maybe it's time I give one a go.

Maybe

Davidoff No. 2 (6” x 38) ?

Nice $2 a pop O_o

Sounds good, fire them up and post a review :-)

My guess it's either the 3000 or Millennium Lancero. It's definitely a 7" length. Anybody know if there's a different band style to the two blends?

EDIT-research leads me to say it is a confirmed 3000.

And enjoy the Davidoff more.

I like the Anejo, the Hemingway, and now the new Rosado lines form AF - but you can keep your Opus. I try a few every once in a while, even tried them when they first came out in 1995. I remember only being able to get two of them per day at the shop. I got me two one day, and proceeded to light one up, and was quickly disappointed that I hd dropped that much coin on that particular stick. But I knew, sometimes things get better with age, so I let the other one sit. I have tried aging them for a few months up to a couple years. I have had a couple (out of a couple dozen) that were pretty good, meaning that, if they were the only Opus I'd had, I'd consider buying a couple more.

I don't know, it might be me, but I'd take the Davidoff over the Opus any day.

So, I'd say give one a try. Don't compare it to the Opus - or any other cigar for that matter. Try one to see if it is something you will enjoy.

Peace of the Lord be with you.
