I wish I could write a review about this cigar... I honestly thought, after some things that I read about it, that I might be able to... I has been a LONG time since I have written a review about anything....
Trouble is, this Bahia Blu torpedo started out great, and smelled fantastic... BUT... I got about a quarter of the way in and the damned thing became more reminiscent of poo than a cigar. I soldiered through it, hoping that it would get better, but it never did.
Poo may not be right, but it really sucked ass. Is this normal for this cigar? Or did I just get a dud?
What really sucks, is that it was supposed to be a celebratory smoke because I kicked off my graduate career in great style...
Ho well.

That's sad because they used to be good many years ago. Glad I didn't buy any lately. CI's been having some good deals in their latest catalogs. Now I know why.

Thats what usually clues me into blends that are probably less than good, when they show up in CI mag for 30$ a box...

My friends bought into the ad hype and got a box of Bahia Trinidad's. They call it Bahia Tailpipe and curse Tony Borhani for making such a lousy cigar.

The devil's weed didn't suck for the price, but otherwise I agree.

True, Devil's weed wasn't that bad. Course they were originally selling for double or triple the price normally.

I'm not here to defend Borhani and his cigars, but just FWIW - the Bahia Blue is a low cost house brand created specifically for Cigars International et. al., and didn't exist until a few years ago.
As for his non-house brand Bahias, I've had some that I felt were better than others.

Yes, unfortunately. These haven't been any good since Don Douglas stopped making them....imho.
