Accessory Discussion / Reviews>Oust fan battery life

Just put in a couple oust fans earlier in the week. What kind of life should I expect out of the energizers they came with? I'll probably grab some rechargeables because I don't want to be buying D's all the time.

Main reason I dont use my fans any more. 60-90days if I remember correctly. I never noticed any difference in the way my cigars smoked so I dumped my fans. :-)

I usually get about 3 months out of a D cell battery.

I've used Duracell on my Oust fans and they lasted an average of 60 days. I ended up dumping them and now I'm looking around for some fans.

Same here, mine never even lasted 60 days. :-)

Mine have probably been dead for at least 6 months now and the world is still turning, I think.
I only remember to check the batteries once in a blue moon.
Rh is always good.

Do the OUST fans really work, are they that crucial to your stash???

Thanks... :-)

The larger your stash, the more likely that air movement will help. If you are in the cooler or smaller stage (maybe below 200 qt), then it is unlikely that fans will help any more than well placed beads. If you are to the stage where you are using active humidification (or more than 4' vertical), I'd recommend fans.

Mine rarely lasted 3 months. (I'm sure the $1 store batteries I use have nothing to do with that).

I'd have to ask the wife...she's the only one in my house that uses batteries...:-)

I gave up on the danged OUST fans, they were too bothersome and expensive to run.

Ended up buying a 120MM AC wired fan with variable speed control (computer fan on steroids) for about $50 in parts and haven't looked back from that yet.
