Accessory Discussion / Reviews>Humidors - Coming Up
WaxingMoon 08:41 PM 09-23-2010
In preparation for the batch below to come off the work bench.... I'm hoping to have them pretty well finished up over this coming weekend.... I have already secured the wood for the next batch.... And, this, also, looks like it will be an interesting round of humidor making....

Left to Right....

Cocobolo, Quilted Maple, Ziricote (Gabon Ebony near the floor), Figured Cherry & Walnut.

I should have enough Cocobolo left over from trimming up two of these (quilted maple humidor and a walnut humidor)... to build one out of Cocobolo too.... I can't wait. That has to be the prettiest piece of cocobolo I've ever seen....

The combination of these humidors will be...

Quilted Maple & Cocobolo
Walnut & Cocobolo
Walnut
Cherry & Walnut
Ziricote & Gabon Ebony

I just gotta show this picture.... Quilted Maple & Cocobolo "in the raw"

Looks good next to the walnut too....

That Cocobolo is HOT!
Looks like Black Walnut with a Maple ring.
That is a helluva cross section to work with! Nice grain!

It's damn near 2" thick! Might be able to yield a bunch of stuff off of this board!

I love the look of Tigerwood. You should do some more work with it. :-)
