Accessory Discussion / Reviews>Mounting Shilala beads in the lid?
nomadicwookie 10:42 AM 08-21-2010
Anyone ever done this before? I was thinking about finding a little basket or making some brackets to mount in the lid of my desktop for the beads. I have an Oasis Ultra that mounts to the lid in my other desktop & I love how all of my humi space is free. Since I've found this place every square inch of space has become critical:-) I find myself playing Tetris with my cigars quite a bit.

I had mounted Heartfelt beads to the lids or my desktops. As long as you are comfortable with recharging them in the humi or can remove them, there should be no problems. :-)

How did you mount them?

First, a nice dinner and movie. Then drinks. Then more drinks and the next thing you know...

If you don't mind using screws or fastners you can use a wire mesh bent into the desired shape and screwed/fastened onto the lid.

Just remember to leave the beads in the bag when you do this :-)

!. Pop open old humidifier case.
2. Remove floral foam.
3. Find plastic screen(do not use metallic). Home Depot, Ace Hardware, screen door place.
4. Cut plastic screen to fit inside old humidifier case.
5. Put beads inside, put humidifier case back together and mount inside lid.

Thanks for the input folks. I don't have the old humidification. Perhaps I'll try the plastic screen.
