Here's the latest.
Usually I'm not one for drama, but I gotta admit that I love the Brett Farve game. I think it's because he does the whole thing tongue-in-cheek. He knows the media is retarded, and uses it to have fun.
I sure hope Brett comes back this year. I'm not ready to retire my Farve jersey yet.
I happen to be a die-hard Steelers fan, by the way.
I just love the way the old boy plays ball. There's none out there with the guts and determination he has, and it's becoming a dying breed.

Says he's not returning...
As good of a season as he had last year, I still hope to see him come back.

That was yesterday. His teammates said they got an email that said he wasn't returning. Now today he says he didn't say that.

Sounds like a good contest...which game will he come back in for, or what will be the official announcement date of his "decision"?

I read something about the Vikes being okay with him not coming back until the same time he came back last year. I think he skipped all of camp and came back for the first pre-season game or something like that.
So it'd be pretty easy to figure out when he's coming back, IF he's coming back.

Wow. That was quick. A complete turnaround in less than a day.
:-)
He'll be back!

I heard that this was a ploy to allow him to skip training camp...

Like I said in a previous thread about Favre: It wasn't until that first statement about the rumors that I was 110% sure he's coming back.

Well the coach said in an interview that they are prepared to move forward either way.

I should see what the odds are in Vegas of his coming back. Not that I care. And Favray is probably just acting like a broken down prima donna who doesn't want to sweat his cojones off in Mankato.

It's the first week of August. You can just about set your watch by the Favre "I'm retiring" announcment.
Think about it: Is he really going to announce his
REAL retirement via text message? The guy's a media hound. When the day comes that he's good and ready to retire for real, there is going to be some sort of media event that will dwarf the LeBron James TV special.

A friend of mine texted me this he heard from some sportswriter:
"Favre will be announcing his decision in a month long special on ESPN called ESPN."

Although, I'm a die-hard Dolphins fan. I hope that he comes back. As much as you don't like the guy, those big plays he made last year were spectacular. As a fan of football, I'd love to see him come back just to watch that kind of play for one more year.

I think hes a loser, enough of the clowning around bullshit, either retire and do your wrangler commercials or commit to playing football already. Enough is enough.

I do like the guy but I have to say I liked him a lot better before he retired ... the first time ...

I hope he retires and unretires for another five or ten years.
He could outplay most of these other mooks in the NFL from a Hoveround.

As a die hard Cowboys fan, I really hope he retires and stays out of Minnesota.
