Now I am a talented photshop user, but I cannot contemplate how stupid you would have to be
to do such a thing NOW under this intense scrutiny. How fired do you think this cat is?

Exactly. What did they gain by doing it? Who did it harm? Did it trick anyone into thinking anything different? I don't see why it's news. It's not like they Photoshopped the photo to cover something up.

On the one hand, I completely agree. On the other, it does not help allay suspicions that they DO have something to hide, and are not above deceit.

Just :-) , and worth every penny.

What else are they trying to pull the covers over America's head about?

I agree people have a right to be suspicious of BP (not to mention other actors in the gulf spill).

That being said, they had three screens that weren't being used. I'm not exactly sure how they could be hiding anything by making those screens show something that was already in the photo.

To me, it's not the act itself, or the intent or lack of same. It's the mentality behind the act, regardless of intent.

And what was the mentality?

Absolutely ridiculous that something like this is news. An Army Ranger died in the line of duty not even 3 days ago and people are more worried about a photoshop on BP's website.
I wouldn't even say it's this one incident that is aggravating, I heard about Lindsay Lohan going to jail today, what is wrong with America that we are more concerned with mindless "celebrities" going to jail than we are about our fighting men.
How many souls were lost when that rig went down? I can't even remember the last time I heard about them, their families, or a charity to aid their families.

Politicians trying to shut down off shore drilling is doing nothing but hurting local economies across the coast. It completely astonishes me that people are more worried about how politicians are going to save our environment than how they are going to save our economy. Ridiculous.

God bless our soldiers.

Exaclty (again)

Thats not even "news" it should be on TMZ or some other BS tv show... They put a duplicated picture over an empty screen to make the command center seem so much more active . So what there was a few empty screens....

I got a new idea.... instead of capping it off and wasting acess to who knows how many barrels a day of oil..... why don't they put another pipe(s) over it and another rig ontop and keep the oil like it originally was doing. Then we wouldn't have to worry with the pressure.

Too many men/wemen who sit at home eating cheetos, while thier significant other brings home 6-figures, that have nothing else better to do than watch BS on tv because REAL news would boggle thier minds to where they would have to shut the TV off it hurt so much trying to comprihend it.

Preach it brother! News these days has really degraded into the junk that used to be reserved for supermarket tabloids. I don't care about Lindsey Lohan, Paris Hilton, Brittney Spears, Mel Gibson, or any of the other myriad knuckleheads who are "front page news" these days.

Will someone please bring back Walter Conkite, Roger Mudd, Carl Bernstein, and Bob Woodward?
