General Discussion>Prince: The Internet is dead
mosesbotbol 08:48 AM 07-14-2010
The internet has killed the music business. There is much less money to be made and now artists are forced to tour and play live to make a living.

In one sense that is good, but bad if you have been reliant on record sales to make a living. I have some friends in the music distribution business and their business was huge a few years ago and now it's "abandon ship".

“The Internet's like MTV,” he told the Mirror. “At one time MTV was hip and suddenly it became outdated. Anyway, all these computers and digital gadgets are no good. They just fill your head with numbers and that can't be good for you."

The man is really a deep thinker. :-)

Maybe Prince confused Michael Jackson, his archenemy from the 80's, with the Internet. If that were the case he’d be correct.

Not in jest, but that is a deep thought on one level. Very reactionary and has merit.
