Once again I did a random picking from my cabinet. Tonight's smoke was the Gurkha Regent Torpedo. Overall good looking box press stick. Made up of a Havana 2000 Wrapper, Indonesian Binder, Dominican, Nicaraguan Ligero Filler

And this is all the further we will be going with this guy. 5 Minutes in and this is one of the worst cigar I have tried. Not to sure if its the ligero or just it being a Gurkha but I just could not waste anymore time on this guy. Newbies stay away!!! This one just may make you get the wrong impression of cigar smoking.

I liked the Shaggy, I would get them at Tinder Box in Lakeland often

I have yet to try a Gurkha and I agree life's to short to smoke a crappy cigar...however I would have given it another inch. Ive had cigars start off awful and open up into great smoking experiences. :-)

Was it dirt infused bitters? That is what my first and last Gurkha tasted like. The nat'l sales rep was in my B&m and asked if I liked Gurkha and I told him I had never tried them. He gave me an Archive Churchill box press, and his business card. He told me he wanted my honest opinion. I told him about the nasty aftertaste that wouldn't go away, funny he never replied back to me.
