If I bid on a lot of robusto cigars and in the description it states robusto and the size (5.25 x 50). I should receive said size....correct?

This isn't the first time cbid has sent me wrong sizes. Normally I wouldn't care but lately I'm into 50rg and lower. I was a bit disappointed when I received larger sizes. Should I say something or is this normal practice?

I would say something. The decription states that you are bidding on a specific vitola, why should they send you another? I have always received the sizes depicted in the description. :-)

I would say if you ordered Robustos, and they sent you petit coronas, or lanceros, then you have a legit gripe. However, robusto means different thing to different cigar companies, expect a RG of anywhere from 48-52, and various lengths.

How different were the cigars that you received?

I've noticed they've had descriptions of cigars and different pictures. Like it would be a bid for Torpedos, but the pic is of a toro, or robusto...something like that. They usually have the dimensions of the cigar you're bidding on, so if it doesn't match, you may have a legit complaint.

I called cbid they are sending replacements for free and letting me keep what was already sent for an additional 10 bucks. I thought that was fair.

All in I'm getting the following for $33.95 (Shipping included)....I hope they are good I have yet to try one.

The Augusto Reyes Sampler includes:
2 - August Reyes Criollo Robusto (5.25" x 50)
2 - August Reyes Criollo Toro (6.2 X 54)
2 - August Reyes Epicur Robusto (5.25" x 50)
2 - August Reyes Epicur Belicoso (6.5" x 54)
2 - August Reyes Grand Cru Robusto (5.25" x 50)
2 - August Reyes Grand Cru Belicoso (6.5" x 54)
2 - August Reyes Maduro Robusto (5.25" x 50)

"Image indicative of product.
See description for exact detail."

Now, if the description says one size, say, toro, and the title of the auction says torpedo, and you bid thinking you would be getting torpedoes, just call them up and give them the auction lot # and they'll look into it and if it's their copy error, they'll make good on it.

Sometimes the title says the correct vitola, as does the auction, but the physical dimensions listed are incorrect. Rare occurrence, but it does happen. If such is the case, call them and explain the situation.

Same goes for packing errors, it does happen. Sometimes the wrong box or 5er gets pulled. Again, call them up.

CI/Cbid customer service is usually pretty amicable.

Sweet. CI/Cbid is very good that way.

"Good" and "like" are two different things. A cigar can be good and you may still hate it, Hell, a cigar could be "bad" and one might love it regardless. Such being said, the AR's are "good" cigars. Will you like them? I dunno.

They're a bit different in flavor than the average cigar, the ones I've had were very "heavy", best way I can think of to describe them. You got a killer price, less than $35 for 20 cigars, so it's worthwhile to give the various wrappers a try.

Definitely not bad at all. I'm glad they straightened that out for you.

Yeah, they've always been very helpful from my experiences. I've never had any cigars come in that were different from the dimensions in the product detail, but the title of the bid was different. Either way, a quick call straightens that out pretty quickly. :-)

I had the same thing happen to me recently. I received some robustos and had won some petite coronas.
