Anyone have something like this that is not too complicated that they like? I have found a few but way too much for my meager needs!
Thanks!

:-)
Hmm, apparently my legitimate software fails genuine validation. Is it possible for someone to download the template and email it?

There's a bunch, which one are you after?
For my family budget I export my checkbook ledger to Excel format from my online banking application, then copy and paste it to the running ledger I keep in Excel. The the right of the table of data I use the first available column to enter budget categories for each line item. Then make a pivot table based on the data. Super simple and highly adjustable way to look at and control your spending.

Pivot tables for your family budget?? That's too much work for me! I use Excel only for my checkbook.

If a simple primate like myself can do it I'm sure you can manage!
