General Discussion>Bad things do come in 3s

So earlier this week my sister tries driving home from college in bad weather, hits ice and hits a mail box which took off her passenger mirror. Tuesday night my dad and I are coming back from watching Syracuse's last home game when the engine in his BMW overheats and they think its pretty much blown. Today I am on my way from home in NY to my job in Texas with my car that I have had barely 2 weeks when a rock from a truck chips my winshield in Ohio and then a lady rear ends me in Lousiville. Now I gotta worry about trying to get it fixed in San Antonio which is the closest Mercedes dealer to where I will be and I also have to report it to my supervisor my first day of work on Monday. Rant over :-)

Just don't ever ask yourself "What can happen next!?"

Because you'll find out.

Sorry to hear about your tough luck, on the upside nobody was hurt.

Hang in there it'll all be good. BTW just call the duty sup and tell em what happened. See if you can get an extension on report date if you really think you'll need one.

But am a bit confused why you have to take accident damage to a dealer. They are just going to outsource it to a body shop most of the time. Not to mention there is a Mercedes dealer in Laredo which is closer to you than San Antonio. :-)

EDIT: Ahh the one in SA has its own body shop.

That does suck! Out of curiosity, what kind of Bimmer did your dad sadly lose? I am a big Bimmer fan, and my experience with overheating on my 5-series had to do with a faulty thermostat...which hid the real issue...a dead auxillary fan on the radiator...fixed...still have and LOVE the car...the one Mercedes-Benz I owned...died a sad death. At the 135k mile mark, the double timing chain snapped...

Anyhow...good call on taking your Benz to a Benz Service center...anytime you have a car like that, its always best to take them "home"
