And Let me know if you need some recipes. :-)
Funny thing is, in high school I wanted to be a chef so I took all the cooking classes. I took a work study program in my senior year and got to leave school at 11 to go work at a local restaurant as an assistant to their cooks (prep cook they called me). I never followed that path but have always been the one in the house who does most of the cooking. Good thing, the wife can manage people but can make a dish the dog even walks away from
:-).
Today's meal is in the crock pot now, Potato wedges, marinated in garlic and pepper, a layer of sliced onions, a layer or sliced mushrooms, a layer of boonless chicken breasts, another layer of mushrooms, topped with a few sliced onions. Topped the whole stack off with 2 cans of cream of chicken soup and a can of chicken broth mixed well. salt and pepper to taste, a sprinkle of paprika and leave covered undisturbed for 6-7 hours on low. Serve with either a vegetable of your choice or pasta.
Off to the shop and at 5 we eat
:-)

I think you have been a victim of a slight misunderstanding: Your wife (just like the rest of us) has always worn the pants and the only official thing is Now You Know It and Admit It!
:-)
Congratulations to her on the job, I know it came at a great time for your family.
