Just fired one up. One of my favorite current production lanceros.

It's a nice lancero with a medium brown color and few veins. After cutting, the prelite draw was perfect. Not too tight nor too loosem. Flacor was fairly faint, but pleasant.

It lit easily, and has a nice clean burn so far. Producing large volumes of smoke. A nice light grey ash. The flavor for the first couple inches is dry black pepper and leatheryn with a small hint of sweetness to me.

I'll contine to post as I smoke through it.

You know, these don't do it for me. I love Illusione, but for some reason all of these have been MISS with me rather than HIT. Odd.

I am with you...I didn't get much flavor at all out of the one I had. None of the gold banded Illusiones do it for me flavor wise. I prefer the 88, CG4, 68, and MJ12.

...and that's why there's different blends out there. LOL These have just seemed to hit the spot for me, and I like the CG4s and others. Haven't cared for the 68s though.

At the 1/3 point it has started to increase slightly with the sweetness. The burn is still razor sharp.

:-) I have had horrible luck with all the gold banded illusiones I have smoked.

The middle third stayed consistent. No major flavor changes. Still very enjoyable to me. :-)

Whatever dude, they are only the best stick in the lineup. I think all the Creamosas have destroyed your palate.

...and to discuss the final 1/3 now.

Sweetness picked up a bit more, as did some spice. Not overhelming, but just enough to let you know it's there.

Final thoughts: fantastic to have to celebrate passing the ASQ CQA earlier this week and finish a long week with. Tasty as usual. :-)
