Strong musty tobacco aroma. Heavy feel on this stick. One large vein running down the back. No soft spots. Earthy chocolate aroma on the foot.
First third
Very loose draw with tons of smoke. Light flavors of mostly wood. It has an extremely peppery and crisp nose exhale. It almost feels like my nose is on fire from the intense pepper. It finally (and thankfully) smooths out after about 1/2 of an inch. I’m left with a clean tobacco flavor with a light cedar aftertaste. Quite rich in body. Medium strength.
Second third
Creamy tobacco and cedar flavors. The aftertaste is starting to linger on the palate. Still a light pepper spice on the nose exhale but nothing compared to how it started. Aftertaste turns creamy with mocha being the primary flavor.
Last third
Tons of mocha and coffee flavors. The peppery spice on the nose exhale picks back up. Full bodied at this point. Tons of spicy mocha flavors on the palate with a long aftertaste of the same flavors. Really picking up in strength near the end. A very strong tobacco and mocha finish with a long and lingering aftertaste.
Conclusion
Overall I did not enjoy this stick. The middle portion was nice, but the first third was way too peppery. Without a doubt the most peppery stick I’ve ever had. It physically hurt my hose on the exhale. Also I found the last third to be one dimensional and muddled in flavor. For the cost of this stick I would spend my money elsewhere.
