Awhile back my 22" Viewsonic LCD monitor bit the dust. Emitted this high pitched tone and zap. Dead. Little on/off light still worked but that was it. Bummer. But since the thing has screws on the back - it means I can take it apart and you know, stare at it. I don't know crap about these things but hey, you never know, I might spend a night at a Holiday Inn Express.
Anyway I shelved it since I could not bring myself to toss it out. Fast forward to a week or so ago and I was on Ebay looking for a replacement screen for my daughters laptop (another bedtime story) when I ran across this guys repair service ads.
I'm thinking what the hell - and contacted him. Well a few emails later and I had the thing apart photographing the inverter board for him. He was positive he could help so last Wednesday in the mail it went.
He got the board on Friday, on Saturday I got a note from him it was repaired and being run/tested. On Monday he sent it back - on Wednesday I got it, installed it - and 10 minutes later had my beloved 22" Viewsonic back in service!
One week turn around from out to back in.
:-)
Total cost? $35 bucks plus shipping.
Sooo - don't know if he smokes cigars are not - but I wanted to give the guy a plug here and maybe help out some BOTL that may have a down LCD monitor here.
CLICK HERE for his Ebay store front. I don't think you will be disappointed!
