Ok, I am going to try my hand at my first cigar review. Please understand that I am very much a rookie to cigars.
This is for a Gurkha Vintage Shaggy that I received at a Gurkha event put on by my local cigar shop. I am sorry but I did not take any pics of the cigar.
It felt firm to the touch and the pre-lit smells reminded me of cedar and pepper. It lit very easily with the shaggy foot but took a couple of minutes to even out the ash. The draw was a little loose to me, but that is a personal preference.
It produced a nice medium smoke with flavors of wood and coffee and maybe a hint of chocolate. It was dry and slightly bitter to start but after it cooled a bit it had a nice earthy and leathery flavor. The flavors were very consistent for the entire smoke and I took it down to my finger tips.
This was a very enjoyable hour and half long smoke that I never had to relight, paired with a few Fat Tire draft beers and some hors dourves I had a very nice evening.
One more thing, my wife who doe not smoke cigars, adds that the Shaggy had a nice aroma for the non smoker as well
I will be buying some more of these in the future

Thanks guys, I really enjoyed smoking this cigar knowing that I wanted to write a review. I think I appreciated it more because I focused on the flavor, scent and feel.
I will attempt to write some more as I move through the progressions of being a rookie, write them from the newbies perspective - maybe this will help others who are just starting out
Thanks for this great site
