General Discussion>What are you giving thanks for?

I think it's important to remember how good life can be compared to those who are less fortunate. A lot of the times we lose sight of the scope in which we examine things that make us feel unfortunate. We should all give thanks for the things we love. We should also give thanks for the simple things that we take for granted.

I am thankful for my health, my family, and pooch. I'm also thankful for having a good job and wife who stands behind me and supports me.

Agreed.... Health, family, great friends & that I don't have to worry where I am going to put my head, feed my kids or pay my bills.

Driving to work yesterday I past a line of people waiting to be given a Thanksgiving meal. It was a slap in the face as to how good most of us have it.

Happy Thanksgiving all!

I too am thankful for my family, health and friends. Further, I am extremely thankful to have been born in a country that embraces freedom and individuality. Spending time in the sharia governed middle east has given me an even greater appreciation for the things we often take for granted. I may not agree with you and your ideas, but I will support and defend your right to them.

Happy Thanksgiving to all my brothers and sisters of the leaf.

I'm thankful for my family, friends, and good health!!!

I am very thankful for the family I have here at CA!

I spent today with my family and we were joined by my Brother, Huy (Adriftpanda)! What a great day!!!

Two years ago when I joined the Jungle, I had no idea how close my friendships would become! I have literally laughed and cried with my brothers and sisters here. You have become a family to me!

You have changed my life in ways that you will never know! Thank you!!!

Amen brother! Well said. I work at the AFCENT NOSC. It is truly amazing what we take for granted. We live in the promised land!

I am also mindful of the men and women of the US Armed Forces active duty, reserves and vets! Thank you all for your service! You are the ones that keep us free.

Also the members of the Emergency Services, the police, firefighters and EMS. You put your life on the line for us at home every day! You guys are the best!

I am giving thanks to my friends and family who keep me on my toes and make life interesting. I went white water rafting for the first time ever thanks giving day with an old buddy from high school that I just met up with again for the first time in 7 years. To my mother and father who are celebrating their 38th wedding anniversary today and especially my father who has been a trooper battling cancer and has just been cleared 100% clear of the cancer as of the week before thanksgiving. Don't take life for granted, enjoy every smoke and the company you keep, it will lead to a much richer life.
